It is important to choose the correct strength generator, as ozone gas is oxidizing, and overexposure
of the compactor may result in damaged rubber, hydraulic hoses, electric cables etc.
If the compactor is empty over some time with ozonation, this may be especially important to take
into consideration.
Timer:
With safety and best results in mind; let ozone concentration reflect odor concentration.
It is often recommended to run the appliance at intervals via a timer.
ContainerMaid is available with a built-in Timer (see separate manual enclosed).
WARNING:
Ensure that the power to the device is disconnected before opening the front cover of the chassis for
setting of the built-in timer.
Alternatively, use an external timer connected to the power supply.
The chassis is IP 65, i.e. dustproof and splash proof, but not waterproof.
The appliance produces corona discharge and must not be installed in environments where there
may be explosive gas mixtures.
ATTENTION! Ozone Sensor:
If ozone is supplied in a closed room where people or animals reside, an ozone sensor should be
installed. The ozone sensor will shut off the power to the appliance if the ozone level in the room
exceeds the limit for allowed concentration.
In Europe 0.1 PPM is the stated occupational exposure limit (upper limit) of the Labour Inspection for
ozone. (How long people can stay continuously, up to 8 hours, without danger). Contact the
manufacturer for guidance concerning ozone sensors.
Hydrophobic Membrane Filter:
Make sure the filter is mounted on underside of the appliance, in the middle plastic implementation.
Plastic nut should be loosened and filter pushed into place, about 1.5 cm inward, and nut tightened
carefully.
