Installing or replacing an engraver tip
WARNING! 

Disconnect the engraver from the power supply before making 

any adjustments or undertaking maintenance procedures.
Make sure that the machine is switched off and the plug removed from the 

mains outlet.

1. To replace the engraving bit (1),  

 

 

 

     

    unscrew in an anti-clockwise direction 

    and remove the locking nut (2), pull 

    the engraving bit (1) and spring out 

    of the engraver.
2. When replacing the engraving bit (1), 

    make sure that the spring has been 

    refitted on to the new Engraving Bit. 
3. Re-fit the engraving bit (1) with spring 

    into the engraver.
4. Re-fit the locking nut (2) by screwing it onto the engraver in a  

 

    clockwise direction.

WARNING! 

Always wear safety glasses when using this tool.

The Ozito electric engraver can be used to permanently mark metal, glass, 

plastic, wood, ceramics and much more.
1. Before using the engraver you must 

    ensure there is an engraving tip (1) 

    installed (Refer to assembly section).
2. Connect the engraver plug to the 

    power supply and whilst holding the 

    engraver firmly, push and hold the 

    on/off switch (3) with your thumb.

NOTE: 

To turn the tool on, press the  

 

 

 

small on/off button (3).To turn the tool  

 

 

 

off, release the on/off button (3). 
3. Hold the engraver at an angle, like 

    you would holding a pen. Do not 

    press down hard while engraving, 

    use light pressure while guiding the 

    point over the workpiece.

Adjusting the engraving depth

1. The stroke adjustment dial (4) located on the top of the engraver controls  

    the stroke length and therefore the engraving depth.
2. For a fine mark turn the stroke adjustment dial (4) anti-clockwise.
3. For a deeper, thicker mark turn the stroke adjustment dial (4) clockwise.

WARNING! 

Do not turn the dial more then 2 rotations.

NOTE:

 It is recommended that you practice on scrap material before  

you start. 

WARNING! 

Always ensure that the tool is switched off and the plug is 

removed from the power point before making any adjustments or  

maintenance procedures.
1. Use a soft brush to remove any accumulated dust. Wear safety glasses to  

    protect your eyes whilst cleaning.
2. If the body of the tool needs cleaning, wipe it with a soft damp cloth.          

    A mild detergent can be used but never alcohol, petrol or other harsh     

    cleaning agents.
3. Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts.

CAUTION: 

Water must never come into contact with the tool.

General inspection

Regularly check that all the fixing screws are tight. They may vibrate loose 

over time.

Power cord maintenance

If the supply cord needs replacing, the task must be carried out by a  

qualified electrician  or power tool repairer in order to avoid a safety hazard.
Please refer to your warranty card, which is separate to these instructions.
