Changing of the preset hardness range:
The hardness range of the mains water
must be set at the electronic control using
the DIP switch (
26 ). Open the contact as-
signed to the hardness range (push into the
position opposite to “ON” (see fig. 5)).
Only one of the contacts may be opened.
The circuit responds to an incorrect setting
by emitting an audible signal. Contacts 4 to
8 are closed (position “ON”).
Fine adjustment is undertaken with the
supplied hex key by rotating the adjusting
screw ( 17 ).
Hardness range A: Double the value of the
measured raw water hardness must be set.
Hardness range B: The value of the meas-
ured raw water hardness must be set (½
turn = 1 °dH).
Hardness range C: Half the value of the
measured raw water hardness must be set.
d) Open the water supply (stopcock or
shut-off valve) and/or set the bypass
valve to the “Operation” position.
ATTENTION
For safety reasons, the softener must be
vented immediately after connection to the
water mains.
This occurs either automatically upon first re-
generation (see
i) ) or can be performed man-
ually as follows:
The axle ( 23 ) of the drive wheel is rotated
clockwise using a 13 mm open-ended
spanner. The waste water hose ( 3 ) must be
securely attached to prevent a “pressure-
flutter”. In the area of the two salting posi-
tions and four flushing positions (markings
2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10 on the operating phase dis-
play (
24 )) the rotational movement must be
stopped for about 30 seconds each. At the
