Reinstall the Chassis in the Rack
Remount the Chassis
1.
Using the mechanical lifter, position the
chassis
in front
of the rack.
2.
Reinstall it based on its
mounting system
:
• Fixed brackets
– Move the
chassis
into the same
location and, using the four retained
screws
with
slip
nuts
, secure the
brackets
to the rack.
• Sliding rails
– Slide the chassis
side rails
into the
rack rails, push the
chassis
all the way to the rear,
and secure it using the front flange
captive screws
.
Reinstall the Carriers
1.
Position the
drive carrier
in front of a drive bay.
2.
Push the carrier in until the
latch
closes, locking the
carrier in the drive bay.
Repeat the procedure for
each
remaining drive carrier.
IMPORTANT: To maintain proper airflow and cooling, a drive or
blank carrier must be installed in
every
bay. No empty bays are
allowed.
Reattach the Bezel
1.
Position the
bezel
with the top aligned with the top edge
of the chassis front.
2.
Push the
bezel
onto the unit until it
snaps into place.
3.
Verify that the bezel is
aligned
properly and that all the
LEDs are visible.
Reattach the Cables and Power Cord
1.
Reattach
all the cables
(not including the power cord) to
the same chassis connections previously used.
2.
Next, attach the
power cord
.
3.
At the front, press the
power switch
to power it on.
Return the Replaced Part to Overland
1.
Put the
replaced
part
in the anti-static bag and place it
in the box the part came in.
2.
Use an RMA to return the part to
Overland Storage
.
