Installing the SCSI and Ethernet Cards on the New Motherboard Tray
Assembly

Insert the Ethernet card into the inner slot on the motherboard.
Press firmly to be sure the card is seated properly in its slot. Avoid contact with
metal surfaces on the card. Grasp or press the edges only.

Replace and tighten the screw connecting the Ethernet card bracket to the
motherboard tray.

Repeat steps 1 and 2 to install the SCSI card into the outer slot.
Installing the New Motherboard Tray Assembly

Slide the motherboard tray assembly back into the server.

Tighten the 2 thumbscrews on the motherboard tray assembly.
Reattaching the Power Cords and SCSI and Ethernet Connectors

Make sure the switch on each power
module is in the off position.

Reconnect the AC power cords and SCSI
and Ethernet connectors to the back of
the server.
3
Turn on the power modules.
Restarting the Server
Once you have completed the replacement procedure, you must restart the system.
Note
At this point, the server has lost its static IP address, administrator name and
password, and server name. For assistance in recovering the customer’s
configuration and settings, contact Overland Storage Technical Support.
