Your cooker hood can be used in circulation or exhaust mode.
Circulation mode
In circulation mode, the cooking fumes are sucked up and fed back into the
room after filtration through the upper air output vent. The air is cleaned by the
grease filter and then by the charcoal filter (fume filter with activated charcoal;
not included with the product).
Advantage: Easy installation.
Disadvantage: As the charcoal filter becomes dirtier, it becomes less efficient at
cleaning and sucking. The charcoal filter must be replaced approximately every
three months, depending on use.
Exhaust mode
In exhaust mode, the cooking fumes are sucked up, led through the grease
filter, and released outside through an exhaust tube (not included with the pro-
duct).
Advantage:
No charcoal filter required, fume contamination always very low.
Disadvantage: Wall penetration (core drilling) of 15.5 cm diameter with compa-
tible hose connection required. Usage of open fires in the same room is only
somewhat possible (see safety instructions).
Important!
If you decide to use exhaust mode and do not have a way to connect the tube,
we recommend consulting a specialist for the wall penetration. If open fires are
present in the same room, ask your local chimney sweep about the municipal
regulations before mounting.
If you are renting a flat, your landlord‘s permission is required.
Please always observe the safety instructions, pages 27-29. The connection for
the exhaust tube must be completed before the mounting described below.
For bridging longer distances to the outside, you can install an external
motor in the exhaust shaft. Consult an electrical specialist for this.
