5.3 Install the lamination dummy
INFORMATION
►
Use the
4X46
lamination dummy when the lamination anchor is
to be used with a screwed insert.
►
Use the
4X46=ST
lamination dummy when the next prosthetic
component is to be screwed directly into the lamination anchor
(e. g. 4R57=ST). The lamination dummy is somewhat higher
proximally so that the prosthetic component does not contact the
laminate when fully screwed in.
Lamination anchor without threaded connector
►
Set the
4X3
lamination dummy on the pyramid adapter of the lam
ination anchor (see fig. 12).
Lamination anchor with threaded connector
1) Tighten the cap screw of the threaded clamping to a point where
the screwed insert can still be screwed in and out.
2) Unscrew the screwed insert from the lamination anchor.
3) Screw in the
4X46*
lamination dummy (see fig. 13).
5.4 Assembling the distal prosthetic components
Installing the screwed insert
The threaded connector is used for installing a connecting component
with an external thread (e.g. pyramid adapter or prosthetic knee joint).
>
Required materials:
710D4 torque wrench, 636K13 Loctite®
1) Screw in the screwed insert (e.g. pyramid adapter) completely
into the thread of the lamination anchor.
2) The screwed insert may be unscrewed by a
maxim
um of 1/4 turn
out of the thread in order to align the insert.
3)
If a titanium screw is on hand:
After trial fitting, replace the
steel cap screw with the titanium cap screw.
4) Secure the cap screw of the threaded clamping using Loctite®
and tighten using the torque wrench (
10 Nm
).

Connecting the pyramid adapter and pyramid receiver
The pyramid adapter is fixed with the set screws of the pyramid receiv
er.
>
Required materials:
torque wrench (e.g. 710D20), 636K13 Loc
tite 241
1)
Fitting:
Screw in the set screws.
Use the torque wrench to tighten the set screws (
10 Nm
).
2)
Definitive assembly:
Secure the set screws with Loctite.
Screw in the set screws.
Pre-tighten the set screws with the torque wrench (
10 Nm
) and
then tighten them (
15 Nm
).
3) Replace any set screws that are protruding or are recessed too
much with appropriate set screws (see selection chart).

Alignment
The set screws in the pyramid receiver can be used to make static
adjustments during alignment, trial fittings and after the prosthesis is
finished.
Replacement and disassembly
The set position of the prosthetic component can be maintained dur
ing replacement or disassembly. In order to do this, unscrew the two
set screws that are screwed in the furthest and located next to each
other.
6 Cleaning
1) Clean the product with a damp, soft cloth.
2) Dry the product with a soft cloth.
