Locking the dynamic unit
INFORMATION
If the dynamic unit is not used for extended periods of time, we recom
mend disengaging the locking mechanism to prevent the spring from wear
ing out prematurely.
The switch (item 6) can be used to lock the dynamic unit in an angular posi
tion from -20° to 90° under tension.
1) Bring the orthosis to the desired angle position and hold it there.
2) Slide the switch (item 6) until the red dot is displayed.
3) Move the orthosis into extension until you hear the locking mechanism
engage.

The orthosis is locked in the flexion and extension directions.
Releasing the lock
1) Slide the switch (item 6) until the green dot is displayed.
2) Flex the orthosis against the spring force until you hear the lock disen
gage.

The preset spring force of the dynamic unit is activated.
7 Cleaning
After contact with water containing salt, chlorine or soap, or if they get dirty,
the orthotic joints must be promptly cleaned.
1) Rinse the orthotic joints with clean fresh water.
2) Dry the orthotic joints with a cloth or allow them to air dry. Avoid expos
ure to direct heat (e.g. from an oven or radiator).

Do not open the product on the bottom.

The product may be exposed to increased loads by the patient.

Shorten the maintenance intervals according to the expected loads.
The manufacturer recommends a semi-annual inspection to verify functional
ity and check for wear and tear to the orthotic joints.
