Maintenance, storage, and transportation
The spectrometer maintenance operations are removing dust form the optical part
surfaces. This is to be done once a year with a douche and with the cover open.
In case of a longtime break in operation, close the spectrometer with a dust-proof
jacket. You can store the spectrometer in a warehouse in manufacturer's package at ambient
temperatures of 5-40° and relative humidity of 80% at 25°C. Harmful contaminant content
causing corrosion must correspond to Atmosphere Type 1 (GOST 15150). Spectrometer
unpacked storing conditions are the same as the operating conditions (Table 1). Place the
spectrometer at least 10 cm away from the warehouse floor and walls and at least 50 cm
from the heat sources.
Transportation and storage
. Before transporting, make sure to install an arrester and
wrap the spectrometer in a soft film to prevent shocks and impacts. When carrying as a hand-
luggage, put the device in a bag with a firm bottom or in a solid box with carrying handles
marked with the

signs as per GOST 14192-96. The temperature
during long transportation must be 5-40°C. A packed device may be kept at a temperature
down to -20°C for an hour or less. Keep a cold device unpacked for at least two hours after
bringing it to a warm place to avoid condensation.
