This Direction for use with additional installation, operating

and maintenance instructions and security data sheet (in the junction box)

includes following products:

RFTX 140A, RFTX 140C, RFTX 160A, RFTX 160C,

RFTX 200A, RFTX 200B and RFTX 200C.

• The fans are certified according to ATEX 94/9/EEC

and comply with ISO 14694, category BV-2, BV-3
and quality factor G 6.3.

• Standards: EN 60079-0:2006, EN 13463-1 and EN

14986:2007.

• The fans are adapted to transport gas in explosion

environment.

• The fans are adapted for environments with a nor-

mal oxygen content (21%) and a normal atmosphe-
ric pressure (0,8-1,1 Bar).

• The fans must not be connected to a flue gas duct.
• The fans are powered by short-circuit 3-phase

motor.

• The fans are adapted for continuously operation S1.
• The fans must not be installed outside.
• The fans can only be used in zone 1 and are not zone

separating, i.e. transported air and ambient air of the
fan must be in the same zone.

• The environmental temperature of the fan and the

temperature of the transported media must be in the
interval of –20°C to +40°C.

• The fans must not be used to transport media (com-

pact or running) that can establish sediments or cor-
rosiveness on the impeller, motor or casing.

• Rust particles are not to occur in the airflow.
• The fan can be installed vertically or horizontally.
• The fans may not be speed regulatated.
• The fans cannot be electronic regulated or regulated

with a frequency converter.

• The fans must be connected electrically via a re-

setting proof vertical discharge with a contact clea-
rance of at least 3 mm/pole.

• Motor protection with data according to the para-

meters IA/IN and tE should be connected to the fans
according to the installation rules.
