Storing items in your kayak

Now that your kayak is built, you have two ways to store items you want to 
bring with you while paddling.

 

Stash water bottles, spare 
paddles, and other larger 
gear under the rubber 
deck straps. 

Rotate deck hatch cover 
left to open.

Stash small items you 
want close at hand in the 
deck hatch, using a water-
proof bag for electronics.

Replace cover and rotate 
right to tighten.
