Backrest plate: Holds the
backrest and column (see

Seat pad bungee:
The seat pad tucks under
the bungee in the center of
the floorboard.
Box buckles: Two sets of
buckles hold the box closed,
but are not used when in
kayak form.

Parts: Floorboard
The box lid becomes the floorboard. The floorboard is a crucial part of
the Oru Kayak assembly; it locks into the cockpit at the coaming, adding
structure, and holds the seat pad and backrest.
