OPERATION - TEST OF THE APPLIANCE
LUX
- luminous intensity adjustment. This setting specifies the luminous intensity at
which the device stops motion detection while remaining in the stand-by mode. This
secures against undesirable lighting switching on by day. The lighting time is set using
the knob “LUX” that should be turned home clockwise; then wait for dusk
. When it
darkens, set the lighting time by turning the knob “LUX” until the light is turned on.
TIME
-
the lighting time adjustment
The knob allows to specify the time of the device operation after the sensor activation.
The lighting time is counted from the motion detection moment until switching off.
- Turn the TIME knob anti-clockwise on the minimum (10s). Turn the LUX knob
clockwise on the maximum (sun).
- Switch on the power; the sensor and its connected lamp will have no signal at the
beginning. After Warm-up 30sec, the sensor can start work. If the sensor receives
the induction signal, the lamp will turn on. While there is no another induction signal
any more, the load should stop working within 10sec±3sec and the lamp would turn
off.
- Turn LUX knob anti-clockwise on the minimum (3LUX). If the ambient light is more
than 3LUX, the sensor would not work and the lamp stop working too. If the
ambient light is less than 3LUX (darkness), the sensor would work. Under no
induction signal c
ondition, the sensor should stop working within 10sec±3sec.
- Turn LUX knob at position
, the sensor will only work as a Photocell. When
ambient natural light is less than 15Lux, the sensor will work and turn on the lamp,
and when the natural light is more than 50Lux, the sensor will switch off the lamp.
The sensor will not respond to lights less than 600LUX from LED or Energy-saving
lamps if ambient natural light does not reach more than 50Lux.
Note: when testing in daylight, please turn LUX knob to (sun) position,
otherwise the sensor could not work!
REMARKS:
- Assembly and installation may be carried out by an electrician or an experienced person
- Do not use unstable objects as the installation base.
- Do not place any object in front of the appliance to avoid disturbance of the sensor operation.
- Do not install the sensor in the area of variable temperature, eg. in the vicinity of the air stream from the air conditioning, heat sources from the central heating, etc.
- Do not open the housing after the appliance is connected to the power supply.
SOME PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
The load does not work:
a. Please check if the connection of power source and load is correct.
b. Please check if the load is good.
c. Please check if the settings of working light correspond to ambient light.
The sensitivity is poor:
a. Please check if there is any hindrance in front of the detector to affect it to receive the signals.
b. Please check if the ambient temperature is too high.
c. Please check if the induction signal source is in the detection field.
d. Please check if the installation height corresponds to the height required in the instruction.
e. Please check if the moving orientation is correct.
The sensor can not shut off the load automatically:
a. Please check if there is continual signal in the detection field.
b. Please check if the time delay is set to the maximum position
c. Please check if the power corresponds to the instruction.
SAFETY and MAINTENANCE
Maintenance should be carried out with power disconnected.
Clean only with delicate and dry fabrics.
Do not use chemical cleaners.
Do not cover the product.
Provide free air access.
