General instructions

Transport

2.3.  Sea transport

cms

.21 can be transported fully mounted without the cover

in ISO container.

Before removing the cover, disconnect the interior

earthing branch which joins the cover to the lower

body of

cms

.21, using a mm 17 wrench  (M10 screw).

The container recommended for sea transport is the

“standard high-cube” (HC). It must be transported without

the cover when using this type of container; in this case, the

cover will be shipped on a separate pallet.

In order to prevent damage during transport, we

recommend securing the

cms

.21 to the base of the

container, using straps attached firmly to the four “DEHA”

anchors embedded in the bottom of the concrete enclosure.

2.3.1.  Sea freight packaging

Ormazabal

 recommends using Cortec® VpCI-126® Blue®

film (corrosion inhibitor in vapour phase) or similar to seal

the

cms

.21 , thus preventing corrosion during sea transport.

Placing the enclosure in dehydrated salt is recommended.

Transporting the

cms

.21 on a pallet measuring 2305 mm

wide x 1450 mm deep x 110 mm high, with polyurethane

protection and VpCI or similar protective film is

recommended. Once the equipment has been installed,

remove all the protection and transport elements before

commissioning.
