Step 9:
Mount the speaker- The speaker is placed
in the grille ring from the front. Place the
speaker and the grille ring in the installa-
tion hole. Align the mounting screw holes
and drive in the four mounting screws. Push
the perforated metal grille back into the
grille ring.
INSTALLING THE TWEETER
SURFACE AND ANGLE MOUNTING
Step 1:
Determine where the tweeter will be mounted. Make sure there is
a flat area large enough for the tweeter to fit properly for surface
or angle mounting.
Step 2:
Check to make sure the space you have chosen for the speaker will
not interfere with the operation of the vehicle.
Step 3:
Pre-drill mounting holes using a 1/8” drill bit.
WARNING: Window mechanisms and electrical wires have a nasty
habit of hiding where you least expect. CHECK BEFORE YOU DRILL!
Step 4:
Drill a 3/8” hole for the tweeter wire. If drilling through a metal surface,
use a grommet to protect the wires.
Step 5:
Run the tweeter wire through the wire hole and attach the wires.
Be sure to observe proper polarity during this process.
Step 6:
Mount the tweeter housing using the supplied hardware.
Step 7:
Place tweeter in housing
Step 8:
Install beauty ring placing on housing over tweeter and rotate it
clockwise.
