Connect an indoor or outdoor aerial to the aerial socket at the rear panel as shown below.
For all aerial circuit problems, please consult your local dealer.

AERIAL CONNECTIONS/POWER SOURCES

By using the DC car cord supplied with the
unit, you can operate this unit from a cigarette
lighter socket in any car that utilizes a negative
ground system.
The fused 12V DC car cord has been
designed to power the set from the external
DC power (12 volt negative ground) through
the unit's DC input jack.
Connect the smaller plug on the end of the
cord to the DC input jack on the rear of the
unit, then insert the other end of the car cord
into the cigarette lighter socket of your car.
The red standby indicator will light.
It is not necessary to switch the main power
switch to ON. Switch on your unit by pressing
Sub Power (

) on the front panel or on the

remote control, the red standby indicator goes
off.

TO USE DC POWER

WARNING: Never watch the unit while driving the vehicle.

NOTES:

• When the unit is not in use, always disconnect it from the car cigarette lighter socket to avoid a

battery drain.

• Do not operate the unit if the car battery is weak. Peak current from the car alternator could blow

the DC fuse.

• The unit will still consume Power when in STANDBY mode.

If an external aerial is not available, the
telescopic aerial (supplied) may be used in
areas of good TV reception. Adjust position
for best reception.

(A) INDOOR AERIAL

The type of aerial required depends on the
position of your home, its distance from the
transmitter and local interference. If you do
not have an aerial and you are uncertain of
what to buy, you should seek the advice of
a local aerial contractor.

(B) EXTERNAL AERIAL

Use the AC line cord provided for operation on AC. Insert the AC cord plug into 240V 50Hz AC outlet.

Press MAIN POWER switch on the back panel, the red standby indicator will light. Turn on your unit by pressing

Sub Power (

) on the front panel or on the remote control, the red standby indicator goes off.
