Waterproof: IPX7
Oricom’s UHF2295 radio is designed to meet the water proofing
standard IPX7.
The UHF2295 is designed to float when in water, the LED light will
flash and LCD backlight to assist you in locating the radio when in
water.
The IPX7 means:
Being defined as having no ingress of water when immersed at
1 meter for 30 minutes. (To meet the IPX7 waterproof rating, the
accessory socket cover must be in place, the battery must be fitted
correctly)
NOTE:
DO NOT submerge the transceiver in water if there is any
reason to suspect the waterproof protection may not be effective.
For example, in cases where the battery cover or external jack cap
rubber seal is damaged, the transceiver/battery cover/jack cap is
cracked or broken, or the transceiver has been dropped, or when
the battery cover or Jack cap are detached form the transceiver.
