Record the system network settings prior to changing them; these settings will 
be restored after assigning an IP address to the  device.  Remember  to restore 
these settings after the Lantronix has been configured.  

 

When used with an  Orbital Systems, Ltd.  front end server (FES), the IP 
address is set at the factory to 192.168.124.171 with telnet on port 10001. 

 

4.1.1  Configuring the IP Address 

 

 

The default Lantronix IP address is 192.168.124.171. If DeviceInstaller™ does 
not  detect the Lantronix  device, close  DeviceInstaller™.  Manually configure 
the  system  IP address to 192.168.124.160  (Make sure this IP address is 
available).

 

 

 

4.1.2  Open DeviceInstaller™

 

After  DeviceInstaller™  has  detected  the Lantronix device, select the 
device in the left column (see red highlighted area in Figure 27 for an 
example).
