IDENTIFICATION OF TIME INTERVALS
The
MER 2T/2TN
permits the display of the time intervals. Depending
on the season, whether summer or winter, different values will be
displayed.
Accessing the identification mode
The identification mode is accessed by pressing the “INFO” button for
more than five seconds.
Warning.
If the button is not pressed long enough then the following
data in the display sequence will be shown in standby or normal
operation mode. A simple way to access the identification mode is to
maintain the “INFO” button pressed for more than five seconds; when it
is released, the identification display is shown.
Once the identification mode is accessed, the following time interval will
be displayed every three seconds.
Warning.
If the “INFO” button is pressed again, the unit will return to
the standby or normal operation mode.
Displaying the time intervals. First winter interval
The screen displays the beginning of the time interval and the tariff
applied as from this time. Assuming we are in winter, then we will have
the following:

PROGRAMMING THE TIME INTERVALS
The
MER 2T/2TN
permits time interval programming using the “INFO”
and “CLOSE” buttons. Programming is protected by sealing the
"CLOSE" button.
Accessing the time interval programming mode
The date and time programming mode is accessed by maintain the
“CLOSE” button pressed for more than ten seconds.
Warning.
If this is not carefully followed, it is possible to perform an
undesired period close operation if the “CLOSE” is not continually
pressed for at least ten seconds.
Correct access to the programming mode is indicated by the clock
symbol appearing then disappearing on the display.
Release the “PROG” key and carry out hour: minute programming
(code 01) and hour: minute programming (code 02).
Two values of hour: minute (code 01) and hour: minute (code 02) are
programmed in order to form the following tariff structure.
In winter:
00:00
(code
01)
Applies period 2 (T2)
(code 01)
(code 02)
Applies period 1 (T1)
(code
02)
00:00
Applies period 2 (T2)
In summer:
00:00
(code 01) + 01:00
Applies period 2 (T2)
(code 01) + 01:00 (code 02) + 01:00
Applies period 1 (T1)
(code 02) + 01:00 00:00
Applies period 2 (T2)
The data to be programmed flashes every half second and allows the
“INFO” button to be pressed to increase the value, while the “CLOSE”
button will accept the new value and access the next one. The data are
modified in tens-units sequence, in other words the tens are changed
first, followed “CLOSE” to validate it and then the units.
REPLACING THE BATTERY
The MER 2T/2TN is fitted with a lithium battery to maintain the data in
the case of a mains failure. The battery can be replaced without having
to remove the meter. The seal on the transparent cover has to be
broken to replace the battery. Such seals can only be broken by
authorised personnel.
Remove the battery-holder from its housing and take the battery out. Do
not handle anything inside the unit. Replace the battery checking for
correct polarity then replace the battery-holder inside its housing. Close
the transparent cover.
CHANGING SUMMER-WINTER TIME
The summer-winter time changeover is automatically carried out on the
official dates.
CONNECTION
