Batteries and recharging
It is recommended to use a 12v deep cycle battery. In order to preserve the life of the batteries, it is preferable to recharge
them fully immediately after use. Please charge your battery in a well-ventilated place.
Below is an estimate of the engine operating time based on the battery used and your engine. It is given for continuous
use at maximum power.
Note that the operating time depends on many factors (weight on board, wind, waves, current, attachment used...)
In order to preserve the battery it is best not to reach its maximum discharge.
CAUTION: Only use a battery with an output voltage of 12V. The use of a battery with a different output voltage will
put your motor out of warranty.
Connecting the battery
Before powering your motor, please check that the bar is set to speed 0.
First, connect the red clamp to the «+» terminal, then the black one to the «-» terminal.
Speed control
After connecting the motor, you can control the speed by turning
the bar on its axis, and selecting the speeds forward or reverse
(Fig. H).
