Center controls.
Center adjustment positions the OCT scan towards the vitreous or choroid.

Hand control.
When the live OCT feed is displayed the hand control may be used to adjust the scan. You can toggle
between XYZ and OCT modes using the toggle button on the hand control.

Before capturing a scan this shows the live OCT feed

After capturing a scan this shows the OCT alignment at time of capture

Focus controls.
Focus adjustment moves the focus within the OCT scan towards the retina or choroid.

Select the open area above or below the - and + for larger focus adjustments

OCT setup.
You can run individual auto-routines if the patient has changed position since alignment.
Select the auto-routine you want to run or select Redo OCT setup .
10 Cancel OCT. Exits OCT capture.

Location adjustment control.

Select to move the scan within the frame and center the scan on the desired area
3.2.8.3 How to optimize OCT scan quality
The following advice will help you optimize your OCT scan quality.
l
Ensure the live OCT feed is centered and level. Use the center control to adjust the scan position.
Moving the scan slightly upwards improves the SNR values. See
Center controls. above.
l
Adjust the focus control to increase the signal strength. See
Focus controls. above.
l
The live OCT feed should fill the width of the touch screen. If there is signal loss on the edges, it could
be that the patient's pupil is no longer aligned. Select
Cancel
and repeat the alignment process.
l
Ensure the patient blinks before capturing the image so that the cornea is lubricated.
l
Adjust the patient's head to ensure that the scan is not tilted.
