8. Holding the rack adapter with its part number visible on the top
and the black connectors aligned underneath, set it in position on
the rack.
If it does not go on easily, make sure the hex nut’s points are prop-
erly aligned, parallel with the processor connector.
9. Align the processor’s blue connector with the mating connector
on the rack adapter, and make sure the indentation in the base-
plate aligns with the silver pins on the adapter.
The processor’s position is now reversed on the rack (that is, letters
on the processor’s lid are upside down).
10. Seat the processor onto the connector and use the hold-down
screw to secure the brain in position. Do not overtighten.
11. Replace cables and restore power to the rack.
If the replacement processor does not have an IP address, follow
instructions in the PAC Manager User’s Guide to assign it.
