BEFORE THE FIRST TIME YOU USE YOUR HOT
PLATE
• Please read these operating instructions thoroughly and keep
them in a safe place for future reference.
• Remove all packing materials and discard responsibly.
• Before using your Hot Plate for the first time,turn the Hot
plate to the highest setting (5) for 3 to 5 minutes to condition
the protective coating.
NB
This should be the only time the Hot Plate
is operated without a cooking utensil on it.
• A pan 15–17 cm in diameter is recommended for best results.
Smaller pans are not recommended.Ensure larger pans do not
protrude beyond the edge of the Hot Plate or the controls.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
● Place the Hot Plate on a solid,level non-flammable surface.
● Ensure that Thermostat Control is in the off
position.
● Insert the mains plug into the mains socket.
● Rotate the Thermostat Control clockwise from 0 (low heat)
through to 5 (high heat) and leave at the desired setting. The
Neon Indicator will light to show the hot plate is being heated
up.
● Once the hot plate is at the correct temperature the Neon
Indicator will go out, the Neon Indicator will go on and off
during use to show the temperature of the hot plate is being
maintained.
● Return the Thermostat control the
position and remove
the mains plug from the socket after use.

• Allow the unit to cool before storage.
• Before cleaning,disconnect the appliance form the mains supply and allow to cool.
• This appliance is intended for household use only and should not be used for industrial purposes.
• Do not use any accessories or attachments with this appliance other than those supplied or
recommended by supplier.
• Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended use.
• Do not push objects into any openings as damage to the appliance and/or electric shock may occur.
• Ensure appliance is situated in an open area, do not allow it to come in contact with cupboards, curta

ins, wall coverings,clothing or other flammable materials.
• Unplug after each use. Grasp the plug, not the cord.
• This appliances is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and others working environments;
– farm houses;
– by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
– bed and breakfast type environments.
NB
During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice a slight odour and a little smoke.
This is normal and will quickly disappear,It is the coating applied to the heating elements
to prevent any corrosion during transit.
