Lift the saw bow with the push button (15) in manual mode on the control panel.
Turn the lowering speed completely to zero.
Release the clamping lever (28) to move the vice sideways depending on the angle to be
sawed.
Insert the part which needs to be sawn into the quick action vice.
Use the clamping lever (29) to loosen the connection between the spindle and the spindle
nut.
Position the front clamping jaw (30) about 4 mm in front of the workpiece by pushing the
moving part of the quick-action vice towards the workpiece.
Reconnect the spindle with the clamping lever (29).
Clamp the workpiece slightly by turning the handwheel (31) and then clamp the workpiece
hydraulically with the push button on the operating panel (20) in manual operation.
Always clamp the workpiece in the most stable posi-
tion. At this, the shape of the workpiece is influencing
the orientation which allows a safe clamping. The figure

ping using standard workpiece geometries:

Switching the machine on
Switch on the master switch.
Switch on the control with the rotary switch (13).
Check whether the emergency stop switch is not pressed or unlocked. Turn the emergency
stop switch to the right to unlock.
Set the end position switch-off (12) if necessary.
Switch to semi-automatic mode (22).
Press the push button saw band "On" (16).
Set the desired saw band speed (17).
Set the lowering speed (25) to the lowest level.
Using the "Position saw bow" push button, lower the saw bow to just before the workpiece.
Make sure that the saw band is not in contact with the workpiece when starting the motor.
Set the lowering speed (25) to the appropriate level.
The saw band is switched off by an adjustable limit switch after the sawing process has
been completed.

Switching off the machine
CAUTION!
Only press the emergency-stop button in a genuine emergency. You may not use the
emergency stop button to stop the machine during normal operation.
Press the "Off" saw band push button.
Switch off the metal band saw at the main switch and secure the machine against being
switched on again.
