INSTRUCTION MANUAL
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
• Before you connect the kettle to the mains supply, make sure
that the voltage indicated on the rating plate, located on the
bottom of the kettle matches the mains voltage in your home.
If it does not contact your dealer and do not use the kettle.
• This appliance is for household use only. Do not use outdoors
for commercial or industrial purpose.
• Ensure that the appliance is placed on a firm and flat surface.
Do not put it on the edge of a table or bench. The least below
or knock may overturn it. Do not forget that it may be full
of hot water.
• Do not let the cord hang over edge of a table or counter or
touch any other appliance.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons
in order to avoid a hazard.
• Do not repair the device yourself, but rather consult an
authorized expert.
• Keep the device and the cable away from heat, direct sunlight,
moisture, sharp edges and such like.
• Never use the device unsupervised! Switch off the device
whenever you are not using it. even if this is only for a
moment.
• Always hold your appliance by its handle, since the outer
surface may be hot.
• Do not open the lid while the kettle is in use.
• Do not lift the lid while boiling water in the kettle.
• Only fill the kettle with cord water. Do not fill the kettle
above the MAX level (1.7L). Boiling water may splash out
if overfilled.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow it to cool down completely before cleaning the
appliance.
• Use only original accessories. The kettle is only to be used
with the stand provided.
• Do not insert any objects into holes or slots in this appliance.
• Never immerse the kettle or cord in water or any other liquid.
Do not allow liquid to penetrate the electrical parts of this
kettle.
• Keep the electrical appliance out of reach fro children or
infirm persons. Do not let them use the device without
supervision.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical,sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the
appliance and its cord our of reach of children aged less than
8 years.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar
applications such as:
– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working
environments,
– farm houses,
– by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type
environments,
– bed and breakfast type environments.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY WARNINGS
Read these instructions thoroughly before using this appliance
or connecting it to the mains supply.
A13 amp BS1362 ASTA approved fuse must be fitted.
This appliance must be earthed.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside this appliance.
Always refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
This mains lead of this product is not replaceable by the user.
If the mains lead is damaged, the entire appliances should be
returned to the Customer Service Department.
Do not allow this product to be exposed to rain or moisture
during use or storage.
Before switching on, make sure that the voltage of your
electricity supply is the same as that indicated on the rating
plate. Connecting it to any other power source may cause
damage.
This product may be fitted with a non-rewirable plug. If it is
necessary to change the fuse in the plug, the fuse cover must
be refitted. If the fuse cover becomes lost or damaged, the plug
must not be used until a suitable replacement is obtained.
If the plug has to be changed because it is not suitable for your
socket, or due to damage,it should be cut off and a replacement
fitted, following the wiring instructions shown. The old plug
must be disposed of safety because inserting it into a 13 amp
socket could cause as electrical hazard.
