Amplitude Spectral Distribution panel
Figure 12: ASD panel displaying multiple graphs
The
“
ASD
”
panel is presented in Figure 12. This panel reproduces the same graphs and tile structure
of the “Home” panel presented before.
In this case the graphs display the Amplitude Spectral Density
of the signals instead of their real time value. The graphs can be manipulated and rearranged in the
same manner described previously. Like for the graph of the Home panel, it is possible to set what
signals to display and add a filter in each graph. These options are available on the mouse-over menu
on the left of the graphs. There are some additional controls on the right of each graph that allow to
control the displayed ASD signal:
-
Window selection - allows to choose which window is used to calculate the Fourier Transform.
The Hanning window is selected by default but other options are available such as Hamming
or Rectangular window.
-
Averaging - allows to set the time averaging mode. The available options are No averaging,
Vector averaging, RMS averaging or Peak hold.
-
Below averaging selection there is an option to choose between Linear averaging or
Exponential [moving] average.
