Errors/Troubleshooting:
• When a new battery is installed in your Opti-Logic Micro
™
Series Laser Rangefinder, a
diagnostic check is performed by the onboard computer. This check tests the basic operation
of the rangefinder. During normal diagnostics the three rear LEDs will flash one time and turn
off, leaving the laser rangefinder in the last mode in which it was set.
• When ranging a target, if the unit is unable to obtain a range, it will seem to “lock up”.
Should this occur, wait for the instrument to time out, then press the power/range button
again.
• If the rangefinder shows a distance of “0", the rangefinder is hitting an object at a distance
that is less than the minimum distance. Try aiming the rangefinder at a more distant object
to verify operation. If the rangefinder shows a “0” on all targets at all distances, then this
may be hardware issue. Call your customer service rep.
• If the instrument seems to “lock up” on extremely dark targets, this is an effect of the
automatic rain mode. Simply swing the aim of the unit toward a distant target until a range
appears, or wait for the unit to time out.
• If no reading is displayed and one or more of the green LED’s are not illuminated on the
rear panel, check the battery door to insure it is flush with the housing.
