1. Separation

It is a simple and uncomplicated method of separating. After the flight is

finished, the model automatically separates in the middle. The generated

tumbler movement develops enough air resistance for a safe landing.

Usage:

small uncomplicated models

2. Streamer

A streamer also offers, according to its size and length, enough air resi-

stance for a safe landing.

Anwendung:

Modelle  mit  geringem  Gewicht,  da  diese  an  einem  Fallschirm  einer  zu

großen Windabtrift ausgesetzt wären.

3. Parachute

A parachute is required for big models. These are available in different

sizes  and  shapes  according  to  the  rocket.  Several  parachutes  can  be

used for bigger and heavier rockets.

Usage:

95% of all models have a parachute.

Lighting the fuse

Security fuse

The normal fuses must be inserted carefully into the the cartridge and pushed right into the main body of the

cartrige without bending. To make sure the stay in wedge them with a small piece of art straw or similar. If the

fuse is too tight it will gomout brfor44e reaching the charge. When lit the fuse will burn slowly giving 3 - 6 se-

conds for the operator to run clear.

Electronic fuse

This method of firing depends on a wire with a loop,at the end which has be inserted into the cartridge. The

wire  can  be  held  in  tight  with  a  small  piece  of  sellotape.  When  an  electrcal  charge  (at  least  6  volt)  is  put

through the wire it will glow and ignite the cartridge.

Once ignited the cartridge gives out a high pressure gas through an especially formed duct forcing the rocket

in the opposite direction (action and reaction).

When starting a rocket make sure you take the following safety precautions.

Ensure the firing range is clear and the rocket will not fall on other people, cars or animals.

If there are spectators make a countdown to let them know what is going on:
