4.7. Loading envelopes

Procedure to load envelopes:
1.
Align the envelopes so that they are all oriented with the label side facing
towards the front of the Model 72, and the back flap on top and facing
towards the back of the Model 72 (Figure 4-21).

Load a stack of envelopes against the forward wall of the conveyor, bottom
edges touching the belts.
Note: It is not necessary to justify envelopes to the left conveyor wall.
3.
Slide the Mail Pusher to its most forward position. Load a handful of mail
behind the pusher, using the side of the pusher as your guide. Loading in
Conveyor - Capacity is about 22½” (571.5 mm).
Feed Belts (behind cover)
Mail Pusher - Supports and advances envelopes.
Lifts and slides back to allow envelopes
to be loaded.
Feed Sensors (not shown) - Detect if mail
is present. Controls advance movement of
the unopened envelopes.
