10. Setting up wireless media streaming (Optional)
The wireless version
of the Control Hub supports playback of streaming audio data through
standard wireless home networks (IEEE802.11b/g). Your Opalum system will show up as a network
media device available for audio playback.
Setting up a new wireless connection by using WPS (recommended):
1.
Make sure that your home wireless router supports WPS configuration* and that WPS pin
code protection is disabled (please consult your wireless router user guide).
2.
Make sure the Control Hub has been disconnected from the mains for at least 5 minutes.
3.
Re-connect the Control Hub to the mains. The status LED should now start flashing white.
4.
Push the WPS button of your wireless router within 2 minutes of point 3 above.
5.
If successful the Control Hub will go into stand-by mode after a while.
6.
Power up the Control Hub using the remote and wait for the green status indicator to stop
flashing and go into solid green.
7.
Your Opalum system should now have turned up on the network as a Media Renderer,
ready to receive streaming music from any UPnP
TM
or DLNA
TM
compatible device. (These are
trademarks of their respective owners).
