Operating states
Normal mode

The UPS system is running in normal
mode (online), the mains power supply
is available.
The UPS system monitors the batteries
and charges these as needed. The bat-
teries also provide power supply protec-
tion to the devices connected to the
output of the UPS system.
Battery mode

The UPS system is running in battery
mode, the mains power supply is mal-
functioning. An audio warning signal
is emitted every 4 seconds and every
second when battery capacity is low.
After the mains power supply returns,
the UPS system switches to normal
mode and the batteries are recharged.
Bypass mode

The UPS system is running in bypass
mode. An audio warning signal is
emitted every 2 minutes.
The battery mode is not available and
the consumers are not protected
against power failures. However, the
mains current continues to be filtered
passively by the UPS system.
The UPS system will switch to bypass mode under the following
conditions:
If the bypass mode is activated manually
If the UPS system detects an internal fault
If the UPS system is overheated
If the UPS system has an overload
