Section 4-Installing Mounting

        Brackets

You can mount your speakers with the supplied

brackets horizontally or vertically or set them on a
table or railing; whatever works best for you.  For

patios and backyards, under the roof overhang
works well.  Try to place the speakers at least 7’
apart.

4.1 Installing the Brackets on the

Exterior of a House

Begin by marking the holes to be drilled.  You can

easily make a template of the holes using the
bracket.  Place a sheet of paper over the back of

the bracket and make a pencil rubbing.  Hold this
rubbing up to the surface to determine the hole

spacing.  For wood installations, drill two pilot
holes.  Next, install the screws.  Do not tighten

the screws down all the way, leave them out
about 1/8”.  Now you can slide the bracket onto
the screws and tighten.

4.2 Attaching the Speaker

to the Bracket

When you install the speakers, you want the
tweeters on the inside (closer to each other).  In-

sert the knob into each side of the speaker and
tighten a few turns.  Now attach the speaker wire

while the binding posts are in an easy to reach
position.  You can position the angle of the

speaker and then tighten the knobs fully.  Take a
few steps back and ensure the both speakers are

on the same angle.

Section 5-Cleaning

Use a damp cloth to clean your speakers.  If you
need a little more cleaning power, add a mild de-

tergent to the cloth.  It is OK to spray the speak-
ers with a hose but be sure to use low pressure.

Section 6-Protecting the

        Speaker Wire

The bare copper ends of the speaker wire will

oxidize with exposure to the elements.  You can
crimp on gold plated banana plugs, pins or

spades to protect them.  Alternatively, if you do
not plan on removing the speakers on a regular

basis, you can use a silicone caulking material
over the connections.  Be sure the speaker wire
is tightly fastened before applying the caulking.

Cover the binding posts and wire.  You can al-
ways remove the silicone later if you need to

move the
speakers.

Section 7-Painting the Speakers

You can paint the speakers with any paint suit-

able for plastic.  Be sure to use a ‘wax and
grease remover’ to clean the speakers before

painting.
