The Solar Spotlight must be set on a flat, even and stable surface.  This product is water resistant to
protect against normal daily elements.  The Solar Spotlight is not waterproof and must not be set
in water such as pools or ponds.

2. The Solar Spotlight will need to charge for at least six hours before using it for the first time.

3. Located on the bottom of the Solar Spotlight is a panel with a “ON”/”OFF” Button (1)-see

Figure 1.  Pressing down on the “ON”/”OFF” Button (1) will turn the Solar Spotlight on or off.

Note: During the day, the Solar Panel (2) converts sunlight into electricity, recharging the

batteries.  The amount of light the Solar Panel (2) receives depends on placement of the
Solar Spotlight, geographic location and weather.  If the weather is cloudy and the panel did
not receive a full charge, the Solar Spotlight may not achieve the full eight hours of operating
time.  It will catch up on its own after two to three days of full sun.

Replacing the Batteries

NOTE: Before performing any maintenance, make sure the “ON/OFF” Switch (1) is in the “OFF”

position.

1. Located on the bottom of the Solar Spotlight is a panel held in place with four small

Phillips Head Screws (4)-see Figure 1.  Place the Solar Spotlight over a working surface
that is flat and clear of debris so that you may easily retrieve the Phillips Head Screws if
they are dropped.  Using a small Phillips Head screwdriver (not included), remove each of
the Phillips Head Screws (4).  Place the Phillips Head Screws (4) in a secure location.
Pull off the Top Panel (5) of the Battery Compartment.

2. Remove the Rubber Panel (6) from the Battery Compartment-see Figure 2.  Pull out the

Batteries (7) and replace with two new Batteries (7)-see Figure 3.

CAUTION:

Make certain that the batteries are installed with the positive and negative poles as
indicated.  Use Ni-Cad Batteries only.
