CIPRead Read Variable
Class 3 Explicit Reads the value of a variable with a Network Publish at-
tribute from the specified remote Controller on the CIP
network and stores the value in a variable at the local
Controller.
CIPWrite Write Variable
Class 3 Explicit Writes the value of a variable at the local controller to a
variable with a Network Publish attribute at the specified
remote Controller on the CIP network.
CIPSend Send Explicit Mes-
sage Class 3 Sends a specified class 3 CIP command to the specified
remote Controller on the CIP network.

Version Information
A CPU Unit with unit version 1.06 or later and Sysmac Studio version 1.07 or higher are re-
quired to use the CIPOpenWithDataSize instruction.

CIP message communications include the following processes.
If CIP class 3 connections are used, the open and close processes are required before and after the
data is sent and received.
