Commands and Responses for Controller Link Units
Section 6-5
The disconnect detection node data 1 and 2 parameters, however, are over-
written by new disconnection data.
To clear disconnection data, either execute NETWORK DISCONNECT DATA
CLEAR (FINS command) or use the Controller Link Support Software (Ver.
2.00 or later). When clearing the disconnection data by executing a FINS
command, it must be done separately for each node.
When Controller Link Units are used in duplex operation, if there is an active/
standby switchover resulting from an error in a Unit, then the time at which this
occurs will become the “time of beginning disconnection data recording” and a
new disconnection record will start. (Disconnection data is not inherited from
one Controller Link Unit to another.)
6-5-10 NETWORK DISCONNECT DATA CLEAR
Clears the Controller Link disconnection data. This command can only be
used in token-ring mode, for Optical Ring Controller Link Units (H-PCF cable
or GI cable).

Explanation
Aside from the disconnect detection flag parameter, disconnection information
is not cleared even when communications are restored. (The present discon-
nection status is always reflected in the disconnect detection flag parameter.)
The disconnect detection node data 1 and 2 parameters, however, are over-
written by new disconnection data.
Execute this command to clear the disconnection data and restore the default
status. Both the disconnection data in the Controller Link Unit and the ring sta-
tus in the CPU Bus Area of the CPU Unit will be cleared.
The time at which the disconnection data is cleared will be recorded in the
Controller Link Unit as the “time of beginning disconnection data recording.”
The disconnection data will only be cleared at those nodes which receive this
command. For examples of programs for clearing the disconnection data from
the entire network, refer to 10-4-4 Clearing the Ring Status Words.
The disconnection data can also be cleared using Controller Link Support
Software (Ver. 2.00 or later). With this method, the disconnection data is
cleared all at once for all of the nodes in the network.
