10.2 Storage and maintenance of rechargeable batteries
When the device is not in use for a longer period of time, the rechargeable batteries have to be charged
every month. Otherwise danger of permanent power loss or battery damage.
Remove batteries from the housing if the temperature is below -5° C! Otherwise danger of battery damage.
The batteries are located sideways under the housing. The cover is marked. Always store rechargeable
batteries in a warm enough, dry place where children cannot access.
When reinstalling the rechargeable batteries, pay attention to the polarity of the connection cables. If the
charging indicator does not flash when connecting the device with the mains, the poles are wrong or a
battery is defective.
10.3 Loudspeakers
If the speaker system distorts, one of the loudspeakers may be defective. In this case the speaker system
should not be operated any more in order to prevent further damage. Please contact your dealer.
If clacking sounds are heard from the speaker system, screws may have loosened due to the continuous
vibrations. The speaker system should be checked by a specialist.
10.4 Tape deck
In order to ensure good recording and play quality, clean all parts that come in contact with the tape, i.e. the
heads, the capstan and the pressure roller. For this a cotton swab slightly moistened with cleaning fluid can
be used. You can also clean the heads by playing a standard cleaning tape. To demagnetize the heads use
a standard demagnetizing tape.
