Connector Configuration
Outputs
At the balanced XLR outputs LINK OUTPUT the input signal fed through is available. This output allows
connecting the input of another active speaker system for additional PA applications.
Connection to the mains
Finally, connect the supplied power supply cable to the corresponding input and the mains plug to an outlet
(AC 230 V, 50 Hz).

OPERATION
1
To prevent loud switching noise, first switch on the connected signal source.
2
Prior to the first switching on of the subwoofer, turn down the SUB LEVEL control to the left stop
position to avoid a high volume at the beginning. Then switch on the subwoofer with the power switch.
The POWER indicator lights up.
3
With the control LOW PASS adjust the upper crossover frequency of the subwoofer. As guidance,
observe the lower crossover frequency of the main speakers.
4
Adjust the desired volume for the subwoofer with the control SUB LEVEL.
5
Different distances of speakers to the listener may result in phase interference (certain frequencies will
have a lower volume). To compensate this, the phase of the subwoofer signal is reversible with the
PHASE reversal switch. Test both switch positions to find the position offering the bass reproduction of
the highest volume at the listening position.
6
During operation, please make sure that the subwoofer always sounds well. When distortions can be
heard, either the amplifier or the loudspeaker is overloaded. Overloads can quickly lead to amplifier or
speaker damage. In order to avoid damage, please reduce the volume immediately when distortions
can be heard. When speaker systems are destroyed by overload, the guarantee becomes void. Always
check the sound pressure level with a meter in order to keep to the threshold.
7
After operation, set the SUB LEVEL control to minimum, then switch off the subwoofer with the power
switch. The POWER indicator extinguishes.
