7.3 Tuner Operation

Connect the included FM and/or AM antenna to the corresponding terminals on the rear panels.

After setting the PA system into operation, press any button in the tuner section to activate the tuner.

The tuner is able to receive FM and medium wave stations. After switching on, FM reception is selected
(LED FM/AM lights). To switch to AM reception press the buttons FM/AM (LED FM/AM extinguishes).

Adjust the desired volume for the tuner with the control LEVEL.
As the tuner is not provided with a separate on/off switch, set this control to minimum when the tuner is
not used.

Long actuation of the button [ ] (forwards) or
[ ] (reverse) starts automatic station finding. The station
finding stops as soon as a station is found. Start the station finding so many times until the desired
station will be received.

For manual fine tuning, shortly press the button [ ] or
[ ] to increase or reduce the received frequency
step by step.

With the button STEREO/MONO you can switch between stereo and mono mode. In stereo mode, the
LEDs STEREO/MONO and STEREO light up.
7.4 MP3 Player Operation

Switch on the MP3 player with the power switch. The power indicator lights up.

Insert a USB device into the USB port. After loading a device, it is read in and then playback is started
automatically. The LED STATE flashes.

Adjust the desired volume for the MP3 player with the level control VOLUME.

To interrupt the playback, press the button [

] PLAY/PAUSE. The LED STATE stops flashing.

With the buttons [ ] PRE and [ ] NEXT, you can skip titles in forward or backward direction.

Press the button EQ repeatedly to select an equalizer setting.

To remove the USB device, disconnect it from the USB port. Prior to removing a device, always
terminate the playback with the button [

]. Otherwise damage or loss of data may occur.
Regarding USB devices
• This unit supports USB devices with the file system FAT32 and with a capacity up to 32 GB.
• This unit supports MSC (Mass Storage Class) USB storage devices 1.0, 1.1, 2.0 including external
portable flash memory devices and digital audio players. However, hard discs, optical discs such as
external CD/DVD drives will not be recognized. Depending on the device used, proper playback may
not be possible with all USB devices.
• If a USB device is not recognized at the first try, remove it and insert it again.
7.5 Protective Circuits
The protective circuits are provided to prevent damage to the speakers and the amplifier. If there is a short
circuit at a speaker output or if the amplifier is overheated due to overload, the speakers will be switched off
and the LED PROTECT will light up. In this case, switch off the amplifier and allow it to cool down. If the LED
is not extinguished after switching on again, switch off the amplifier and eliminate the fault.
