Operation
Mixer unit
To protect your audio equipment, specifically the speakers, follow this power-up sequence: Set all output
volume controls of any equipment to minimum. Switch on your audio sources first, then the PA system. Then
turn up the volume control on your sources (if provided) and set the output volume of the PA system to a low
level. Make adjustments to all volume and tone settings as needed. For switching off, follow the inverse
sequence: always switch off the PA system and then the audio sources.
Setting up a Bluetooth connection with mobile devices
The PA system features a Bluetooth receiver allowing you to stream music wirelessly from your mobile
devices such as smartphones, tablets and notebooks.
1) Switch on the Bluetooth receiver by turning the
PLAYER/BT
control from the left stop position.
2) Press the
BLUETOOTH
button
to enter the pairing mode. The Bluetooth indicator
PAIR
starts flashing
and a signal sounds.
3) Activate the Bluetooth function at the Bluetooth source. The PA system is indicated by “
OMNITRONIC
“ on
the display of the Bluetooth source. Pair the devices with each other. Once the devices are paired, a
signal sounds again and the Bluetooth indicator
PAIR
lights continuously.
4) Now play music at the Bluetooth source as you normally would and the sound will come out of the PA
system.
5) Use
PLAYER/BT
control to adjust the volume.
Notes
•
The
PLAYER/BT
control will also apply to the CD/MP3 player module. Therefore, do not use the player
module during Bluetooth operation. Otherwise, both audio sources will be reproduced at the same time.
•
To prevent unnecessary power consumption, always switch off the Bluetooth receiver with the
PLAYER/BT
control if the receiver is not used.
6) When the Bluetooth connection is disconnected (e. g. when the Bluetooth source is moved outside of the
range of the wireless connection), the pairing process must be performed again at the Bluetooth source.
7) To terminate the connection to a Bluetooth device, press the
BLUETOOTH
button. The Bluetooth
indicator
PAIR
goes off.
Using cabled microphones and audio devices
1) Both
MIC IN
jacks connect dynamic microphones via XLR and 6.3 mm plugs. Use the corresponding
level control to adjust the volume. Use the
TONE
control to optimize the sound and the
REVERB
control
to add a reverb effect to the microphone signal.
2) Connect cabled audio devices with line output (e.g. CD player, laptop) to the
LINE IN
XLR or RCA input.
Set the corresponding switch (15) to
STEREO
when connecting a stereo source and to
MONO
when
connecting a mono source. Use the corresponding level control to adjust the volume.
Note
•
Do not direct any microphones to speakers. This can result in dangerous and unpleasant acoustic
feedback which will generate a loud whistling sound.
