SETUP
Placing the Amplifier
Set up the amplifier on an even, solid surface. In order to ensure sufficient cooling, air must always be able
to flow freely through all air vents. Steady overheating will damage the amplifier.
Connecting Speakers
Either PA speakers with 70 V and 100 V audio transformers or 4-16
Ω
speakers or speaker groups can be
connected.
• Connect PA speakers to the terminals “COM” (negative pole) and “70V” or “100V” (positive pole).
• Connect low-impedance speakers to the terminals “COM” (negative pole) and "4-16
Ω
" (positive pole).
• When connecting, observe the correct polarity (positive and negative connections). The positive connection
of the speaker cables is always specially marked.
• The total load must not exceed 30 W
RMS
(CP-30P), 60 W
RMS
(CP-60P) or 120 W
RMS
(CP-120P) otherwise
the amplifier may be damaged by overload.
• When interconnecting several 4-16
Ω
speakers, it is especially important to consider that the minimum total
impedance is 4 Ω. The following figure shows various options to obtain the minimum impedance.
Connecting a Telephone System
•
TEL INPUT
: Use these screw terminals to connect a telephone system with line level output. To enable the
priority circuit set DIP switch 4 (21) to the lower position. With a signal present at this input, the signals at
the other inputs will then be faded out. The level is adjusted by the front control (9).
•
MOH OUTPUT
:
These screw terminals will feed music on your telephone system for people waiting to be answered.
A dedicated input should be available on your telephone system.
DANGER TO LIFE!
High voltage at terminals when using 100 V PA systems. Installation by skilled
personnel only! Turn off amplifier before connecting.
