Maintenance and Troubleshooting

To change the foam gasket

Pull off the old gasket, and, if necessary, carefully clean the mounting surface (see
Figure 5-3 on page 51).

Choose the gasket model that is compatible with the wedge diameter.

Peel the backing off the adhesive on the new gasket.

Align the adhesive side of the gasket with the mounting surface, and then press it
against the surface to install it.

To change the o-ring seal between the probe and wedge

Use an appropriate tool such as a small flathead screwdriver to carefully lift and
pull off the old o-ring seal without damaging the mounting surface on the wedge
(see Figure 5-4 on page 52).

Install the new o-ring seal.

Clean mounting surface

after removing old gasket.

Peel off the backing

on new gasket.

Align and press new gasket onto

mounting surface.
