Insert three AA-sized alkaline or NiMH rechargeable batteries in the battery
compartment, making sure that you observe the correct polarity.
8.
Reinstall the battery compartment door on the back of the instrument, push down
on the bottom of the battery door, and then turn the battery door screw clockwise.
Always dispose of batteries properly as required by your local regulations.
9.
Reinstall the optional protective rubber boot, if required.
10. Press the power
[
]
button to turn on the 27MG instrument.
11. To answer the battery type setup question displayed at the bottom of the screen,
use the right or left arrow keys, and then press
[ENTER]

page 26):
— Select
ALKALINE
when using three AA-sized alkaline batteries.
— Select
NiMH
when using three AA-sized nickel-metal hydride (NiMH
batteries).

3 Selecting the battery type
When replacing batteries, make sure that they are full in order to ensure the accuracy
of the estimated remaining battery power level shown by the power indicator.
