Intended Use
The device has been designed to shred paper. The shredding of other data
media can lead to personal injury or damage to the equipment.
The paper being shredded must be dry and comply with the requirements
stipulated in the Technical Data!
Important Safety Information
ATTENTION!
1.
Read the operating instructions thoroughly before starting to use the
device.
2.
Pay attention to all safety information to prevent injuries and damage
through improper use.
3.
Keep this operating manual close to hand so that you can make
reference to it in the future.
4.
Pay particular attention to the warnings on the device and in this
operating manual.
5.
If the device is passed on to third-parties, this operating manual
must be submitted with it.
6.
The power socket, to which the shredder is connected, must be
easily accessible at all times and be in the immediate vicinity of the
shredder. Disconnect the power plug from the socket immediately in
the case of an emergency.
7.
Switch the shredder attachment off and disconnect the power plug
from the power socket if the device is not to be used for a longer
period.
8.
Remove any paper clips and metallic staples from the paper before
feeding it into the shredder to prevent damaging the device.
9.
Do not use plastic bin liners in the waste bin. They could get caught
in the shredder and damage the motor.
10.
The shredder attachment must not be used outdoors.
11.
Empty the waste bin regularly.
12.
The device is
not
intended for continuous operation. Following
operation of 1 minute, the device must be stopped to cool down for
25 minutes. Avoid overloading the device.
13.
The device should only be used in temperate climates, avoid tropical
and particularly humid environments.
14.
Prevent foreign bodies, spray and moisture getting inside the
housing.
15.
Never place objects filled with water on the device, e.g. vases.
16.
Never place objects with naked flames on the device, e.g. candles.
