Starting Up
Before starting up, you must have read and understood the safety informa-
tion. Failure to observe this information could lead to serious physical injury
or damage to the machine.
4
Remove the machine carefully from the packaging.
5
Position the machine on a stable base in the vicinity of a power
socket. Check that the device stands securely.
6
Connect the machine to the power supply using the power adapter
plug (4).
Attention:
Check that the voltage specifications of the machine cor-
respond to your power supply network (AC 220-240 V, 50 Hz).
Attention:
The power socket, to which the machine is connected,
must be in close proximity to the machine and easily accessible. This
enables you to disconnect the machine from the power supply quickly
in an emergency.
7
Mount the document feeder (1) on the machine.
8
Pull the output tray (8), located under the paper ejection (5), out from the
machine.
9
Press the power switch (6); the green LED on the top of the machine
indicates that it is ready to use.
Automatic Document Feeder
10
Pull the document feeder (1) carefully towards the output tray (8) in
order to be able to insert the documents.
11
Insert the paper documents in the insertion slot (2) so that they make
contact at the bottom.
12
Ensure that the documents inserted are positioned accurately. Use
the paper guides to align the paper.
Note:
If the paper is not inserted accurately, it could result in a paper
jam, improperly folded documents or damage to the documents.
13
Release the document feeder (1); a sensor inside the machine then
detects the sheets of paper and starts the folding process.
