Getting started
1.
Connect the amplifier to a grounded A/C outlet in accordance with the voltage and frequency
ratings specified for your amplifier.
2.
Make sure that the internal speaker is connected to the leftmost speaker jack. Never operate the
amplifier without a speaker connected. Make sure the impedance matching is correct. This amp
is designed for an 8
Ω
load.
3.
Set the “Power” switch to position ON.
4.
Wait for at least 60 seconds to allow the filaments to heat up.
5.
Make sure that the volume controls are set to 1.
6.
Switch the “Standby” switch to ON.
The amplifier is now ready for use.
Connect your instrument to the INPUT jack.
Rear panel
A.
ELECTRIC LINE CORD – Connect to a grounded A/C outlet in accordance with the voltage and
frequency ratings specified for your amplifier.
B.
INTERNAL SPEAKER JACK – Plug-in connector for the 8
Ω
internal speaker. A speaker must
always be connected to this jack when the amplifier is turned ON. A speaker impedance load of
8
Ω
should be used to avoid damage to the amplifier.
C.
EXTENSION SPEAKER JACK – Plug-in connector for an external speaker. This jack is wired in
parallel with the internal speaker jack. Use 8
Ω
minimum total.
Vacuum Tubes
Replace tubes only with the same type and ratings as specified.
Be sure to use matched power tubes (6V6GT).
