A sum for payment can be paid for in several part payments. It is possible to use 
different types of payment for each part.

A customer wishes to split a total sales sum of £1540.50 into two part payments of 
£1000.00 (credit-card) and £600.00 (cash).

Split  payments  can  be  made  using  cheques,  credit-cards  and  cash.  Payments 
made using a check or credit-card are identified on receipts, journals and reports 
by "CK" or "CH" The monies tendered to  each  are reported and any over tender 
amount  is  reduced  from  the  cash  in  drawer  figure  as  it  is  assumed  monies  are 
given back to the customer
