tic Advice

Some issues may not be problems at all.  A perceived issue could be the unit operating as intended under the current conditions.  These
can be often be resolved by the user if they understand the unit’s operation.  The following is a list of functional aspects of the unit which
should not be interpreted as a problem:

To protect the compressor, it will not start again immediately after stopping.  The control has a built-in minimum off time of 3 minutes.
This delay ensures the compressor is not damaged by frequent starts and stops

In heating mode (heat pump models only) the airflow may not begin at the same time as the compressor.  The control has a built-in
time delay which prevents the fan from starting until the compressor operates long enough to produce warm air.  This delay prevents
users from experiencing uncomfortably cold drafts.

Troubleshooting

If the unit experiences a problem, use the following table for possible solutions.  If the problem still exists after these checks, contact a
qualified service technician.

NOTE:

If the unit is serviced by unqualified persons this can result in damage to the unit and possibly create unsafe conditions and could

result in warranty claims being denied and/or void the unit’s remaining warranty.

3.5.2

Unit Specifications -

For the technical data listed below consult the data plate found on the unit.

Power supply voltage

Protection rating

Refrigerant type

Maximum power

Maximum current

Maximum working pressure

For additional performance, operational limits and physical dimensions/weights consult the specifications document for this specific unit.

FAULTS

The unit does not turn on.

POSSIBLE CAUSES

No power supply

The power switch is in the “O” position.

The remote control’s batteries need to be
replaced.

SOLUTIONS

Check the main power.  If the unit is plugged into a wall outlet verify
voltage is present by plugging in a known functional device, such as
a lamp.

Check if the master switch is off

Check if a fuse is blown.  If so, replace it with one of the same size.

If the unit is protected by a circuit breaker check if it has tripped. If
so, reset it.

NOTE

:

Should the fuse blow again or if the breaker trips again DO

NOT attempt to run the unit.  Contact a qualified service technician.

Move the power switch on the unit to the "I" position (fig. 28, ref. A).

When the batteries are dead, no messages are displayed, and the
unit’s reception confirmation sound will not work when you attempt
to issue a command.  If this is the case, replace the batteries.

Check the temperature setting on the remote control and correct it if
need be.

Check the air filter and clean if necessary.

Remove anything impeding the inlet or output airflow.

Decrease the load by closing the window or door. Or remove any
heat producing devices that are adding to the load.

The unit does not cool or heat
adequately.

The temperature set on the remote
control is either too high or too low.

The air filter is dirty even though the
cleaning LEDs timer has not yet expired.

Indoor or outdoor airflow is being blocked.

The heating/cooling load has increased.
For example, a door or a window was let
open or other heat producing devices
have been introduced to the space.
