7)
Check
the
adjustment
of
the
stalk
roller
weed
knives.
The
weed
knives
(1)
prevent
weeds
and
rubbish
from
wrapping
around
the
rollers
(2).
They
should
be
installed
as
close
as
possible
to
the
stalk
rollers
without
touching
them.
Loosen
the
bolts
(3)
and
set
each
knife
at
a
maximum
of
1.5
mm
from
the
stalk
roller
knife.
Tighten
the
bolts
according
to
the
specifications.
8)
Check
the
wear
of
the
adjustable
stalk
chopper
bearings.
To
check
the
wear
of
the
stalk
chopper
bearings,
hold
the
knife
support
and
try
to
"flip
it".
If
even
the
slightest
movement
is
detected,
adjustment
is
necessary:
‐
Unscrew
the
grease
outlet
plug
(1).
‐
Unscrew
the
nut
holding
the
knife
support
(2).
‐
Drain
all
the
grease
from
the
box.
‐
Remove
the
gaskets
(3).
‐
Lower
the
safety
tab
(4).
‐
Tighten
the
collar
(5)
with
a
torque
wrench,
by
applying
a
rotational
momentum
of
1000/1200
Nm
(almost
blocking
it).
‐
Unscrew
the
collar
(5)
by
almost
¼
of
a
turn.
‐
Raise
the
safety
tab
(4).
‐
Mount
the
two
sealing
gaskets
(3).
‐
Mount
the
knife
support
(6).
‐
Tighten
the
nut
that
locks
the
knife
support
with
a
rotational
momentum
of
230
Nm
