Macintosh setup
Printer driver installation (14ex)
Note:
Switch off antivirus software before installing a
printer driver.
1.
Switch on the printer then the computer and
allow the MacOS and Finder to load normally.
2.
Insert the disk into the CD-ROM drive on the
computer then double click on the
Installer
icon.
3.
Click on the [
Language]
button then choose the
required language.
4.
Click on the [
Instal
l] button.
5.
When the installation is complete, click on the
[
Quit]
button and restart the computer.
6.
After the computer has restarted, open the
[
Chooser]
from the
Apple
menu.
7.
Click on the OKIPAGE 14
ex
(USB) icon then
select the printer name that appears in the dia-
logue box.
8.
Close [
Chooser
].
9.
From the File menu, select Page Setup. Choose
the required page size and orientation, then click
on the
OK
button.
Printer driver installation (14i) - Ethernet
Note:
Switch off antivirus software before installing a
printer driver.
1.
Place the Printer Software CD-ROM in the CD-
ROM drive.
2.
Open [
Chooser
] in the Apple menu.
3.
Click on [Laserwriter 8] and select Printer name.
Note 1:
If using an Ethernet network interface card, the
printer name is OP and the last six digits of the
Ethernet address.
Note 2:
Printer name is given as
Object
name in the self
diagnostic test for the network interface card.
4.
Click on [Create] and an icon should appear
beside the printer name.
5.
When prompted to select a PPD, browse to the
Language\ Drivers
folder on the CD
