Printer Drivers for Network
Distribution
This procedure unpacks Windows printer drivers into a
directory you specify. If the directory is shared, clients
can install the desired driver using the Add Printer
Wizard.
Additional steps are required to push the drivers to client
workstations—review the instructions provided with your
operating system.

With the OKI C Series CD in your CD-ROM drive,
click Start
®
Run.
□
Browse to your CD-ROM drive, then double-click
install.exe in the root directory.
□
Click OK.
□
Select the OKI printer model you have, then click
Continue.
□
Click the button beside Network and Admin
Software.
□
Click the button beside Printer Drivers for Network
Distribution and follow the on-screen instructions.
□
On the Select Components dialog box, select the
drivers you want to distribute over the network.
□
Type in or browse to the network folder where you
want to put the drivers.

The network folder must be accessible to everyone
who will use the drivers.
□
Follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the
selected drivers.
Print Directly from a
Windows Workstation
!
To use this feature, you must have an IP address
established (p. 13) and a printer driver installed (p.
18).

In the main Menu Installer dialog box, click the
button beside Direct Network Printing:

Follow the on-screen instructions to install OkiNet
Connect.
□
Exit the Menu Installer.
□
Use OkiNet Connect to create a new port.
□
Configure each client’s printer driver(s) to the
network port (see “Set IP Monitor” on page 14 for
details).
